Before I depart from this earth, I want to achieve something good. This is my project: to provide drinking water to those who do not have it.

The thirty year war that gripped Sri Lanka up until 2009 only exacerbated the country’s already dire sanitation situation. Amongst the people who have suffered most from the country’s interrupted development are the boys and girls of the more-than-400 schools of the impoverished northern regions who do not have access to safe drinking water – either because their school does not have a well or because its well is frequently contaminated by impurities or guano.
